New Netflix Movies This Week

Let’s start with the films. Apex (Apr 24)   available in English, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi  is a high-octane action thriller movie that my sources say is “John Wick meets The Hunt.” The multiple dubbed version availability means everyone from Punjabi families to South Indian viewers can enjoy this without missing a beat. Initial buzz of this movie is strong at 4.2/5. Then there’s Nee Forever (Apr 24), a Tamil romantic drama that also drops in Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi dub version. Did you ever think a Tamil love story would make me, a Delhi-border Punjabi, tear up? Well, this one might just do it. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

And for the kids  and let’s be honest, for the adults who secretly love it too  Sonic the Hedgehog 3 arrives April 24 2026!  We were hooked the moment we heard the soundtrack in the trailer. This series has somehow become the most fun we have in theatres, and now it’s coming home to Netflix for streaming. It scores Rating: 4.5/5  family movie night sorted.

New Netflix Series & Web Shows This Week

The week’s series slate is stacked. Stranger Things: Tales from 85 was released on (Apr 23, 2026) is the spin-off / anthology set in the 1985 Hawkins universe, and honestly? The nostalgia hit alone is worth encouraging viewers for their subscription renewal. People who watch this suggest it retains the eerie Duffer Brothers atmosphere perfectly. Our early rating for this is 4.7/5   Best Series of the Week.

Unchosen (Apr 21, Ep 1–8 full drop) is a mystery thriller series that is available in a total of four languages including Tamil & Hindi. Total 8 episodes all at once? That’s a sleep-deprived Saturday sorted, bhai.

If Wishes Could Kill (Apr 24, 2026), As you know in India there is massive fan following for the Korean drama’s due to that many OTT lovers waiting for the Korean series too eagerly like waiting for tea in the morning. The Korean dark fantasy thriller dubbed in Telugu and Hindi, is one OTT Ratings personally most excited about. Korean OTT content rarely disappoints, and the premise of a wish granting entity with lethal consequences which  sounds like exactly like my kind of binge. 4.4/5 predicted.

Sold Out on You (Apr 22) is another one Korean web series that definitely you like, if you are fan of romantic web series, and I don’t before any news media tell you about the Thai web series, so here is the news if you want to taste something different yes, The Last Shot (Apr 22) is thriller series which is also creates a hype in Asian circles.

Netflix Originals Releasing This Week

Untold: The Shooting at Hawthorne Hill (April 21) is Netflix’s latest in its acclaimed sports documentary series. If you watched the Caitlin Clark episode, you know this franchise doesn’t disappoint. We OTT Ratings rated it 4.2/5.

Hulk Hogan: Real American (Apr 22, multilingual) if you are fan of WWE and want to know about deep insight through the docuseries about the most controversial figure in WWE history. Whether you love him or have complicated feelings about Hulk Hogan, this one will generate conversation. And Running Point Season 2 (Apr 23)  the basketball comedy  returns with what early viewers call its best season yet.

Amazon Prime Video New Releases This Week

If you really think Amazon prime is sleeping, you are wrong my friend. As it’s already in the mood of contenders which have the mix of originals and rental titles making the platform relevant this week.

New Prime Video Movies This Week

The rental library on Amazon is quite interesting. Jaunt and Kenneled are psychological thrillers available on Prime Rent  perfect, if you want a one-night watch without committing to your loose hard earned subscription. The Serpent’s Skin is another release with a rental feature, first of all it’s going to be a must watch for horror lovers. Not everyone’s cup of chai, but horror fans will find value here.

Immortal Combat (Apr 24, Rent) is another Hollywood action movie that is giving a massive buzz over on social media. On reddit, lots of movie fans quote this movie as a “midnight movie” special. Don’t go in expecting Oscar bait, go in expecting fun.

Alpha: Men Love Vengeance (Apr 21, 2026) is another masterpiece of this week which is also available in Kannada / Telugu dubbed version. Many reviewers like us are calling it a regional dark horse from Prime. It’s a revenge thriller with male leads navigating a morally grey world, the kind of gritty regional content that Prime has been quietly building its South Indian library with. Early indicators suggest 3.8/5.

Killing Grounds: The Gilgo Beach Murders (Apr 22) If you want to stream some real events based crime series, this entry is only for you. This Prime’s true crime docuseries entry this week. As per the media report, which most of the people in the world are following the real-life Gilgo Beach case (which has had massive coverage in the US), this series will be both illuminating and unsettling. OTT Ratings expect this to be one of the week’s most-talked-about titles. 4.3/5.

As someone who lives for Malayalam suspense cinema, the kind that makes you pause and rewind just to catch a detail you missed, Prathichaya looks like it carries that DNA. The title translates roughly to “Shadow” or “Reflection,” which already tells you the vibe. Predicted: 4.0/5 and climbing.

SonyLIV New Releases This Week

SonyLiv is quietly emerging in the OTT world. But this week there are low numbers of scenes on the OTT platforms. This can happen due to its maintaining a steady catalogue for subscribers.
